The newly redesigned 4213 from Sunflower is the answer for removing soil compaction while opening up the surface for improved water intake and reduced erosion. This coulter chisel can completely fracture hardpans and eliminate soil compaction to a depth of 12 to 14 inches that a wider spaced shank arrangement would miss. With coulters spaced every 7.5 inches and shanks on 15 inch centers, not much gets by this complete chisel.
